Job summary

Greencore Group plc is seeking a Finance Analyst to provide financial analysis and insight to stakeholders, supporting budgeting and forecasting to drive future performance. The role involves cross-site improvement activities and a focus on cost and margin drivers.

Based in Northampton, the successful candidate will contribute to month-end close, KPI development, and ad hoc analysis to inform strategic decisions within a fast-moving foods business.

Qualifications

• Finance experience in manufacturing, logistics or similar industry.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the business.
• Proactive, organized and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and insights to drive action and improve performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes on multiple sites.
• Develop KPI reporting to monitor cost and margin drivers.
• Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly reports and resolve queries promptly.
• Validate initiatives for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.

Job description

To provide financial analysis and insight to support stakeholders to drive action and improve future performance. Support the process for a robust budgeting and forecasting and lead multi-site improvement activities as required. Optimise financial performance with a particular focus on relevant key performance indicators within business specialisation.

• Ensure financial reporting including weekly flash, weekly profit and loss, and month end close are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
• Develop and communicate key performance indicators to monitor and drive positive change and expand understanding of cost or margin drivers
• Ensure input into costings is accurate and within agreed timescales
• Build cross functional relationships with key stakeholders
• Support budget and quarterly forecasts, demonstrating an understanding of the key drivers, to inform strategic decision making
• Identify, challenge, and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to provide information, interpretation, and insight to the functional teams to promote effective delivery of commercial and operational performance
• Continuously review business practices to make recommendations for changes which will enhance cost efficiency and business improvement
• Preparation and monitoring of monthly reports and ensure queries are resolved in timely and effective manner
• Validate and monitor excellence initiatives for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
• Provide ad hoc analysis and insight to aid interpretation and decision making
  Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), QBE or studying towards a qualification
• Finance experience gained in manufacturing, logistics or similar industry
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate to all levels of the business
• Proactive, organised, and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and have the drive to deliver results
