Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will serve as a Business Partner for the Council’s subsidiary housing companies, delivering timely and high quality business planning and financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities

1. Regular financial reporting and analysis.
2. Conducting formal investment appraisals to assess the financial viability of future development opportunities.
3. Providing strategic financial advice to senior management and the company boards.
4. Exploring and negotiating funding for capital acquisitions from the shareholder or other stakeholders.
5. Developing financial models and projections, including the 30-year business plan, to support decision-making.

Candidate Criteria

1. Qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant with extensive experience.
2. Experienced with Housing Finance, ideally with Local Authority subsidiaries.
3. Experience of developing financial models and contributing to 30-year business plans.
4. Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
