Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a well-established international manufacturing group in Hereford, Herefordshire, to recruit a dynamic & experienced Senior Finance Analyst. The position reports directly to the Head Of FP&A and involves analysis, automation of processes, cost reporting, and various financial projects. Progression opportunities are available, along with a study package for CIMA/ACCA/ACA. Open to finance analysts who are part-qualified or qualified and looking to add value within a leading group.
Your key duties include producing quality reporting and analysis on financial metrics, analyzing cost improvement and productivity pipelines, preparing monthly forecasts and annual budgets, and reporting on inventory and profitability. You will also handle balance sheet reconciliations, support year-end cost rolls, spend analysis, and contribute to budgeting, audits, and year-end reporting. Supporting continuous improvement for the FP&A team, working on ad-hoc projects, and collaborating with management to optimize inventory reserves are also part of your responsibilities. You will investigate issues, provide solutions, and partner with stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities, supporting the wider finance team as needed.
To qualify for this role, you should have experience in a similar position, be qualified or part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and possess strong communication skills for internal and external business partnering. Relevant management accounting experience in a complex environment, the ability to coach non-finance staff, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential. Experience with financial systems, strong Excel skills, and the ability to prioritize are required. Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Power BI, standard costing, and international manufacturing experience are advantageous but not essential.
