Job summary

Legal & General in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team. You’ll support financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis, turning financial data into clear insight with strong attention to detail.

You’ll help drive automation, data improvements and the development of dashboards, collaborating with finance, business and technical colleagues to deliver efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant, working towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant finance experience
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting or management information
• Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting data, variances and key movements
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate, well-controlled outputs
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with Finance, business and technical stakeholders
• Good Excel skills, with Tableau, Power BI or similar reporting tools beneficial
• Interest in automation, process improvement and practical AI use in finance
• Asset Management experience would be helpful, but is not essential

Job Description

We’re recruiting for aSenior Finance Analyst to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, asking good questions and turning financial information into clear insight.

You’ll support financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis, while also helping the team improve how it uses data, automation and emerging technology. The role would suit someone analytical, curious and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and an interest in making finance processes simpler, clearer and more efficient

What you’ll be doing
