Job summary

Greencore provides a role for a financial analyst to deliver analysis and insights to stakeholders, aiding budgeting and forecasting while driving site-level improvements. The role focuses on KPI development and cost/margin drivers to improve performance in a FMCG environment.

You will build cross-functional relationships, ensure accurate costings, and contribute to monthly reporting. Strong Excel skills and proactivity are essential to meet deadlines and optimise profitability across sites.

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing or FMCG experience.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), QBE or studying towards a qualification.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate to all levels of the business.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and drive results.

Role Purpose

Provide financial analysis and insight to support stakeholders, drive action and improve future performance. Support the budgeting and forecasting process and lead multi‑site improvement activities as required. Optimise financial performance with a focus on relevant key performance indicators within business specialisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and communicate key performance indicators to monitor and drive positive change and expand understanding of cost or margin drivers.
• Ensure input into costings is accurate and within agreed timescales.
• Build cross‑functional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support budget and quarterly forecasts, demonstrating an understanding of the key drivers to inform strategic decision making.
• Identify, challenge, and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to provide information, interpretation, and insight to functional teams to promote effective delivery of commercial and operational performance.
• Continuously review business practices to make recommendations for changes that will enhance cost efficiency and business improvement.
• Prepare and monitor monthly reports and resolve queries in a timely and effective manner.
• Validate and monitor excellence initiatives for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting.
