Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review fixed assets registers.
- Maintain nominal ledger and supporting spreadsheets.
- Update FX rates and perform bank reconciliations on Cash Manager.
- Review Bought Ledger and Cashbook reports.
- Produce client money reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Produce the Bii (monthly Income Report).
- Assist in calculating corporate tax.
- Prepare VAT returns.
- Complete regulatory returns for subsidiary companies (e.g., FCA’s RMAR, Resilience report).
- Assist CFO and AD in reviewing internal controls related to finance.
- Support in preparing year-end financial statements and interim profit verification.
- Prepare the Group’s annual budget.
- Generate annual 1099 forms for US entity payments.
- Propose FX trading activity and investment of surplus funds.
- Review UK entities' P11D forms and ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain relationships with external counterparties.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Preferably from an insurance or broking background.
- Experience in both practice and industry.
- Proven senior management interaction skills.
- Ability to use initiative and handle multiple challenges.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Adaptable and resilient under pressure.
- Familiarity with the CASS (Client Money) rulebook, especially chapter 5 (highly desirable).
