Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in the Greater London area seeks a Senior Field Engineer to provide field engineering specialization, work planning, material management, and quality control in a major aviation infrastructure program.

You will coordinate with design teams, manage site layouts, temporary works, and construction execution plans, while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery in a live operational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience on civil and airfield projects in live facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and safety leadership.
• Excellent communication across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Input into constructability reviews to optimise construction sequencing, logistics, and methodology.
• Coordinate with engineering and design consultants to reflect construction requirements in design deliverables.
• Support site layouts, temporary works strategies, logistics and phasing plans for construction in a live environment.
• Develop construction execution plans, staffing strategies, and resource estimates.
• Collaborate with Procurement to develop construction packaging and delivery strategies.
• Ensure HSE considerations are embedded in design and planning.
• Review and monitor quality control plans during design and construction.
• Maintain awareness of design evolution, scope changes, and impacts on methods, costs, and schedules.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project and field personnel for safety and excellence.
