Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment is seeking a skilled Family Solicitor for locum work in Surrey. The role involves managing a broad family law caseload, including divorces, financial settlements, and urgent applications.

You will advise clients, prepare pleadings, and represent them in hearings as needed, while collaborating with the family law team to maintain high standards of care. The position offers flexible arrangements, including hybrid or remote options, and a competitive hourly rate or daily rate

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in family law (preferably 3+ years).
• Experience managing a varied family law caseload, including private and public matters.
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling urgent and time-sensitive matters, including emergency orders.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, children's issues, prenuptial agreements and emergency applications.
• Provide expert advice to clients with clear communication and high levels of client care.
• Represent clients in hearings and at court where applicable.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, court applications and settlement agreements.
• Work collaboratively with the family law team and support colleagues when needed.
• Adapt quickly to changing case demands and deadlines, ensuring smooth file management.
