Job summary

Royal High Bath is seeking a proactive Senior Facilities Officer to support the Facilities Manager in delivering a secure, well-maintained school environment. You will contribute to a dedicated estates team and play a key role in safeguarding and daily operations across the site.

This permanent, full-time role offers a collaborative, professional setting within the GDST network, with competitive pay, progression opportunities and a strong commitment to girls’ education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities or related field.
• Experience of supervising a team.
• Working knowledge of H&S regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with others and on initiative.
• Genuine passion for girls’ education.
• Understanding of safeguarding in educational/community settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager in delivering secure, safe, and well-maintained school facilities.

Job description

Role: Senior Facilities Officer

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time - 36 hours

Salary: GDST Regional Grade 3 - No less than £27,987

Required from: ASAP

The role:

As Senior Facilities Officer, you will be a trusted professional partner, supporting the Facilities Manager in the provision of the schools’ support service ensuring the school is secure, safe and maintained. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager and dedicated estates team in a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring our commitment to excellence, our school values, our reputation and safeguarding.

The successful candidate must posses:

Proven experience in facilities or related field Experience of supervising a team Working knowledge of H&S regulations

Ability to work effectively both with others and using one’s initiative

A genuine passion for girls’ education and a commitment to put our girls first in all aspects of our work

Understanding of safeguarding within an educational or community setting
