Job summary

Estimator / Account Manager - Fabrication & Manufacturing in the Huddersfield area seeks an experienced estimator or account manager to strengthen the commercial team and help convert enquiries into orders.

The role blends estimating with customer-facing activities, focusing on existing customers while allowing scope for new business development, with a flexible and long-term opportunity in a predominantly office/site-based setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or subcontract manufacturing.
• Good understanding of costing, pricing and manufacturing processes.
• Customer-facing experience and ability to develop existing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings and specifications.
• Producing accurate quotations.
• Calculating material, labour and manufacturing costs.
• Obtaining supplier and subcontract prices.
• Managing enquiries from quotation through to order.
• Liaising closely with production.
• Building relationships with existing customers.
• Following up quotations and identifying further opportunities.
• Supporting account development and new business where appropriate.
