Job summary

Alpine F1 Team in Enstone is seeking a Senior Controls Development Engineer to lead the deployment, validation and continuous improvement of car control systems. You will develop algorithms, ECU software, and validation frameworks, working across performance, systems and electronics groups to ensure race-ready reliability.

The role demands experience in motorsport or high-level automotive engineering, strong data analysis, and scripting skills (MATLAB/Python).

Qualifications

• Experience with control systems in high-performance environments.
• Embedded software and ECU configuration expertise.
• Scripting and data analysis skills (MATLAB, Python).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for vehicle systems.
• Develop ECU software, calibration tools, and architectures to support performance and drivability.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of control system functionality from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with vehicle performance, systems, and electronics groups for integration.
• Develop and maintain SIL/MIL/HIL validation frameworks for track readiness.
• Analyse data from test and race events to refine control strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement of control system tools and processes in the factory.
