Position: Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer - Airframe Team

Location: Filton, Bristol

Employment Type: Permanent Staff

Belcan Engineering is seeking a skilled F&DT Engineer to join our Airframe business unit. Candidates with Aircraft Repair experience would be most welcome to apply.

Required Technical Skills
  • Strong foundation in hand analysis methods, with the ability to apply and adapt a wide range of calculation techniques to real-world scenarios, supported by technical documentation.
  • Experience with Finite Element (FE) techniques.
  • Proficiency in coding and macro development.
Desirable Experience
  • Aerospace structural engineering
  • Familiarity with Airbus and BAE Systems methods and processes

Candidate Profile: We're looking for someone with prior experience in F&DT Stress Analysis in Aircraft Structures, capable of performing technical tasks and contributing to process improvement initiatives. You should be comfortable solving complex engineering problems independently, with minimal supervision. The role demands a strong focus on technical delivery, quality, and the ability to balance engineering responsibilities with commercial and project time lines.
