Job Title: Senior Exterior Designer

We are seeking a Senior Exterior Designer to join a small but comprehensive vehicle manufacturer. You will work within the UK design facility on developing new vehicle designs and help establish a coherent design language across our product ranges.

The role involves contributing to the styling design of mass production vehicles and concept cars.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design development of future exteriors
• Demonstrate strong sketching skills, innovative design ideas, and effective integration of vehicle and creative concepts
• Create basic volume models using Alias and Blender to guide digital modeling teams
• Develop 3D concepts in Alias and guide digital modeling teams
• Research automotive market trends and express creative ideas accurately
• Develop scale and full-size models, guiding digital and clay modeling teams
• Contribute to show car development, including model building and assembly

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualification with proven automotive exterior design experience
• Excellent 2D presentation skills; proficiency in Photoshop required, with skills in Illustrator, Alias, and showcase/VRED highly desirable
• Versatility in designing all exterior aspects, from overall vehicle proportions to detailed features, with an understanding of feasibility and PQ
• Knowledge of vehicle packaging and component manufacturing
