What you’ll do

• Work alongside colleagues in OSS, IT Architecture, Network Architects, Service Designers, Business Analysts, customers, and vendors to provide input into strategic roadmaps; develop and deliver both large and small development enhancements. Responsible for technical external deliveries to ensure they are fit for purpose and sustainable for ongoing support. Build relationships with vendors and third parties to enhance future deliveries. Serve as Technical Design Lead within OSS: evaluate new network and IT technologies, ensure systems align with Vodafone strategy, meet customer requirements, and support sustainability. Collaborate with teams to define and validate solutions, conduct lab testing, and PoC validation as needed.
• Knowledge of common IT development frameworks and domain-specific software tools, including Jira and Confluence, with an AGILE-SAFE mindset as foundation.
• Lead project deliveries, managing customer expectations and driving delivery. Manage third-party suppliers, report internally within OSS, ensure technical deliveries are on time, within budget, and meet standards. Support live deployments in line with project needs. Produce high-quality, comprehensive IT specifications, contribute to business cases and impact assessments, and develop RFPs. Provide expertise within and outside the OSS team and lead cross-functional teams in development and problem-solving.

Who you are

• Knowledge and technical delivery experience of GIS platform and application design.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Previous experience with ESRI Enterprise.
• Understanding of compute platforms such as GCP, Linux, K8s.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• BSc or higher degree in IT or engineering, with ideally 2+ years’ experience in telecommunications development/delivery roles.
