This role

This position is within N360 Media Agency, a fully integrated loyalty, insights, and media services agency that builds loyalty and personal connections with customers for major UK and global brands. With extensive data and granular shopping insights from 19 million customers, we understand what Sainsbury’s shoppers love now and what they will love in the future. By analyzing purchasing behaviors, we help develop integrated communication strategies and campaigns.

As an Experience Designer, you will design and deliver seamless experiences across digital platforms, understanding user needs, pain points, and business requirements, and translating these into effective solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and third-party agencies to create user-centered designs that are accessible and engaging.

The ideal candidate has experience in a mid-weight design role, solving problems independently, and advocating for data-driven, insight-led design. You will employ design thinking, gather stakeholder feedback, and ensure inclusive design principles are embedded in your work.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and delivering solutions aligned with business goals and user needs
  • Leading and inspiring design teams and stakeholders
  • Conducting user research and testing to inform designs
  • Designing concepts that fit within Sainsbury’s ecosystem and strategic vision
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and facilitating workshops
  • Contributing to evolving design systems and guidelines
  • Promoting inclusive design principles
  • Collaborating in an agile environment and fostering best practices
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as an Experience Design Researcher, preferably with a major brand
  • Strong behavioral competencies: initiative, flexibility, communication, influence
  • Proven ability in managing qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • Skill in synthesizing research into actionable insights
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary agile teams
  • Strong planning, organizational, and curiosity about user behavior
Skills:
  • User-centered and inclusive design expertise
  • Proficiency with UX design processes, collaboration, and co-creation
  • Design and prototyping skills using Figma or similar tools
  • Research interpretation and stakeholder engagement abilities
