Senior Expeditor (Contract)

The Senior Expeditor will manage the expediting and procurement of equipment on a key BakerHicks project, involving supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and expediting.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in expediting and/or procurement of plant and equipment within an EPCM or EPC environment and will be a key member of the project delivery team.

This fixed-term contract role can be based in our Motherwell or Manchester office and will require travel to the site in Dalry, Scotland (travel costs covered).

Key Objectives

1. Administer the expediting of equipment.
2. Work closely with project teams and customers to fully meet their requirements.
3. Lead the assessment of all quotes and commercial terms, as well as technical and commercial analysis.
4. Present and gain approval for Tender Recommendations from customers in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and Schedule.
5. Expedite and support engineering and construction teams to deliver procured items in line with the Project Schedule.

About You

You will have extensive experience as a procurement manager in construction or engineering, including dealing with Customs for the delivery of major equipment into the UK market.

You should have experience delivering complex procurement packages in an EPCM environment, with knowledge of EU and UK supply chains.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
• Full UK driving license.
• Experience interacting with client representatives.
• Experience working with construction contractors.
