Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage restructuring engagements by defining project scope in collaboration with Senior Managers or Partners, ensuring delivery aligns with firm policies and quality standards.
  • Take ownership of project delivery, whether leading a smaller team or contributing to a larger engagement, with ongoing support from peers and senior colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships both internally across various specialist teams and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and expand a professional network with external referral sources such as solicitors, lenders, and corporate clients.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, sharing your expertise to coach and mentor junior team members while continuously developing your own skills.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of the key drivers behind business underperformance and corporate distress.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to show empathy and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced financial and commercial analysis skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of identifying critical issues and delivering practical, actionable solutions.
  • Clear and concise communicator, experienced in presenting findings and reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Able to manage project resources, including staffing, budgeting, and fee tracking, while escalating key issues to project leaders.
  • Professional, confident, and adept at engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and management teams.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a strong understanding of firm capabilities and the ability to bring in cross-functional expertise to deliver holistic solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience in a restructuring or turnaround environment.
  • Track record of delivering cash flow reviews, independent business reviews, and formal corporate insolvency work.
  • Proven ability to build strong internal networks and contribute to business development.
  • Strong people management skills and a desire to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Sound understanding of the risks and sensitivities involved in advising distressed businesses and stakeholders.
