Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting for a Senior/Principal Electronic Warfare Systems Architect to lead technical direction across EW projects and product development. The role spans design, integration, and field demonstrations, with responsibility for shaping strategy and mentoring engineers.

The successful candidate will bring deep EW expertise, broad systems knowledge, and the ability to engage with MOD customers and defence partners. UK DV and NATO Secret clearance are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven EW expertise in designing and architecting defence EW systems.
• Broad knowledge across RF/electronics, DSP, FPGA, or embedded software.
• Strong understanding of threat systems and defence contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for EW program architecture and delivery.
• Lead end-to-end design and integration across software, RF/hardware, DSP, and FPGA.
• Shape long-term technology strategy with product and business teams.
• Mentor engineers and potentially lead a small technical team.
• Oversee field trials and demonstrations with defence partners.
• Represent the business at industry events and maintain technical reputation.
