Job summary

Your Trust in Rochdale is seeking a General Manager – Events and Programming to lead the development, delivery and growth of the Events and Entertainment Team across venues including Heywood Civic and Middleton Arena.

You will oversee programming, marketing, budgeting and box office operations to maximise income, engage diverse communities, and ensure safe, high-quality events that strengthen community engagement and reputation.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject or qualified by experience.
• Extensive experience in a senior events or entertainment role.
• Proven experience of managing venues within the entertainment industry.
• Proven experience of managing teams across multiple disciplines and sites.
• Experience cultivating partnerships with internal and external organisations.
• Proven abilities in event marketing and scheduling.
• Experience of managing budgets and operations under tight financial constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, delivery and growth of the Events and Entertainment Team across Your Trust venues.
• Oversee programming, technical production and box office operations to deliver diverse events.
• Ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially viable.
• Maximise income generation and audience engagement across venues and activities.
• Build and maintain positive partnerships with stakeholders and organisations.
• Coordinate resources to deliver a full programme of events across all sites.
