Job summary

Your Trust in Rochdale is seeking a General Manager - Events and Programming to lead a dynamic events and entertainment programme across venues, delivering high-quality, compliant productions while driving growth and community engagement.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong budget control, and excellent stakeholder relationships to ensure a vibrant calendar of events that sustains financial health and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject or qualified by experience.
• Extensive experience in a senior events or entertainment role.
• Proven and successful experience of managing venues within the entertainment industry.
• Proven and successful experience of managing teams across multiple disciplines and sites.
• Experience of cultivating and managing positive partnerships and relationships with both internal and external organisations.
• Proven abilities in event marketing and scheduling.
• Experience of managing budgets and operations within tight financial circumstances and competing priorities.
• Ability to develop, oversee and manage delivery of a full programme of events across all venues.
• Knowledge of the music and events industry, including deal negotiation, contracting and event production.
• Knowledge of managing large and complex budgets.
• Ability to co-ordinate tasks to deliver activities and events smoothly.
• Able to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, delivery and growth of the Events and Entertainment Team across Your Trust venues.
• Ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while maintaining commercial viability.
• Maximise income generation and oversee programming, technical production and box office operations.
• Deliver a diverse portfolio of professional, community, cultural and sporting events that grow audiences and participation.
