Job summary

UKRI is seeking a Senior Evaluation Manager in Swindon to lead a portfolio of monitoring and evaluation activities within the R&D MAP’s Clean Energy Superpower Mission. The role focuses on designing and delivering strategic evaluations, developing evidence syntheses, and guiding stakeholders across challenge teams and the MAP hub.

The post offers hybrid working with a Swindon base and occasional travel, reporting to the Innovation Lead – Clean Energy Superpower Mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and delivery of impact evaluations of complex programmes.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering evaluation activity for the mission, including contract managing independent evaluations of major challenge investments.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to co-develop monitoring and evaluation plans for mission activities and investments.
• Lead the team’s efforts to monitor and assess outcomes and benefits from mission funding activities.
• Develop evidence syntheses and disseminate evidence of impact across the programme and its investments.
• Participate in Evaluation Working Groups and share lessons across missions.
