Job summary

Emotiv Technical Recruitment is seeking a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to own the end-to-end development of EV traction power electronics systems, from concept through production launch. You will lead cross‑functional teams and drive architectural decisions for 50 kW to 300 kW inverter platforms.

The role requires a Master’s in Power Electronics and 8+ years in inverter R&D, with strong SiC/GaN, EMC, thermal, and ISO26262 experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Power Electronic Engineering.
• 8+ years experience in R&D of inverters for electric motors.
• Experience with 400V+ HV and 50kW–300kW inverter platforms.
• Solid SiC/GaN and gate driver knowledge.
• Strong electrical, thermal or electromagnetics modelling.
• Design for functional safety to ISO26262.

Responsibilities

• Own power electronics development strategy and influences on the roadmap.
• Lead end-to-end development of EV traction inverter systems (50 kW to 300 kW).
• Drive inverter power stage design using IGBT and/or SiC MOSFET technologies.
• Collaborate with mechanical teams for thermal architecture and lifetime models.
• Lead prototype bring-up, debugging, and DV/PV testing; support EMC testing.
• Support inverter development to meet ISO26262 and HV safety standards.
