Job summary

Sungrow in the United Kingdom is seeking an EV Field Service Engineer to support our customers across the UK, delivering remote and on-site service for Sungrow EV charging solutions. You will troubleshoot, commission, and maintain chargers, collaborating with installers and technicians.

Travel is up to 60% with roughly three days per week on customer sites. You will monitor performance, diagnose faults, and provide proactive maintenance while expanding our local EV engineering capability and

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electrotechnical or electrical engineering field and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and ability to diagnose network issues.
• Experience with OCPP and Modbus-TCP communication protocols is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and diagnose system faults.
• Excellent communication skills to assist non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor commissioned EV chargers remotely to identify potential issues.
• Diagnose and resolve charger malfunctions, communication issues, and electrical faults.
• Troubleshoot communication with local inverters, energy meters, and customer SCADA systems.
• Explain issues and resolutions clearly to customers to build confidence.
• Lead on-site commissioning and field troubleshooting with installers and technicians.
