About your role:

As a Senior Gas Market Analyst, you will analyze European gas markets to support proprietary trading. You will provide market insights and calls based on bespoke fundamental modeling, forecasting, and monitoring key factors and news flows.

You will collaborate with other Gas Analysts and relevant desks to enhance the analytics platform.

This role is based in our London office near Marble Arch.

Accountabilities include:

• Provide market insights for traders and stakeholders based on fundamentals
• Develop models and tools with Front Office Developers to support analysis, visualization, and automation
• Forecast market dynamics of gas and correlated commodities (e.g., oil, power)
• Perform technical analysis of gas prices, curves, and trends
• Recommend market calls and trading strategies for trading and hedging

What we're looking for:

• Strong numerical qualification and technical skills
• Experience in commodity trading or market analysis
• Deep knowledge of European and global gas markets
• Proficiency in modeling tools like Monte Carlo simulations
• High commercial acumen
• Understanding of trading techniques such as hedging and options
• Skill in building market models and forecasts using programming, especially Python
