A technology solutions provider in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Application Manager to oversee the lifecycle of enterprise applications and OS updates. You will ensure systems are secure and compliant while managing platforms like Workspace ONE and Intune. The ideal candidate has expertise in enterprise application management, scripting skills, and strong communication abilities. Active SC clearance is required for this role.
We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to take responsibility for the full lifecycle of enterprise applications and operating system updates across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments. The role is central to ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and optimised for performance.
Plan, test, and deliver application and OS updates, ensuring smooth deployment and accurate reporting
Manage and enhance UEM/MDM platforms, primarily Workspace ONE, with exposure to Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM/MECM
Define governance and policies for application management, including update cycles, categorisation, and exceptions
Work closely with Security teams to address vulnerabilities, coordinate urgent patching, and provide compliance evidence
Introduce automation (PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs) to drive efficiency and consistency
Provide stakeholders with clear dashboards, reports, and communication around compliance and updates
Strong background in enterprise application and OS patch management across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
Hands-on expertise with Workspace ONE, plus solid knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM/MECM
Skilled in application packaging (MSI, MSIX, PKG, DMG), release design, rollback, and pilot/UAT testing
Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or APIs
Experience of ITIL-aligned change, release, and incident management processes
Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders with clear, auditable reporting
Active SC clearance is required for this role
Certifications such as Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, VMware VCP DW, Jamf 300/400, or ITIL Foundation
