Job summary

Dains is seeking a Senior Proposal Bid Writer to support clients across the UK in identifying EU funding opportunities and leading high-quality, compliant proposals. The role involves scoping projects, coordinating partners, budgeting, and ensuring submissions meet EU programme requirements and scoring criteria.

The position offers remote flexibility with options for hybrid work or the Burton-on-Trent office, enabling collaborative, client-focused grant development.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing successful grant applications.
• Grant / proposal writing experience.
• Managing entire submission workflows and document packaging under deadlines.
• Translating complex technical content into clear, scoring-aligned narratives.
• Working with evaluation criteria and scoring logic; experience with resubmissions after feedback.
• Experience with grant agreement preparation, amendments, reporting, and audit readiness.
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EU funding programs (Horizon Europe).
• Match client needs to funding opportunities.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand client goals and project ideas.
• Develop project concepts using logical frameworks and EU methodologies.
• Create proposal development timelines and responsibility metrics.
• Determine bid strategy and lead submission preparation from development to grant agreement documents.
