Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a Managing Estimator for a leading UK infrastructure contractor. Based in Beaconsfield with hybrid working (two days in office, three at home), you will lead pricing for strategic highways and infrastructure tenders and develop the estimating team to drive best practice.

Responsibilities include developing pricing strategies, reviewing detailed estimates, coordinating bid teams, and presenting recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• Significant estimating experience in highways/infra projects.
• Proven track record pricing and securing major contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to estimate from first principles.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and tender procedures.
• Experience leading estimating teams and coordinating bids.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial development and pricing of major highways tenders.
• Develop pricing strategies balancing competitiveness, risk and profitability.
• Prepare and review estimates for labour, plant, materials, subs and overheads.
• Coordinate estimating resources and multidisciplinary bid teams.
• Mentor the estimating team and drive process improvements.
• Present pricing recommendations to senior management and support negotiations.
