A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimator for a Bedford-based manufacturer of specialist security products. Permanent role, 8:30am–5:00pm, with 25 days’ holiday and a discretionary bonus, plus a pension scheme.

You will lead detailed tenders for manufactured products and installation packages, prepare cost plans from drawings and tender documents, obtain supplier quotes, identify commercial risks, and support junior estimators while driving consistency across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Estimator or estimator ready to take next step.
• Background in construction, manufacturing, subcontracting or specialist trades.
• Confident pricing from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Experience preparing detailed cost plans and commercial tender submissions.
• Good supplier and subcontractor knowledge.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drawing software is useful.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed estimates for specialist manufactured products and installation packages.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Build up material, labour, manufacturing and subcontractor costs.
• Request, compare and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Lead tenders from enquiry to final submission and support junior estimators.
