Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking a Senior Estimator for its pan-Scotland preconstruction team. The role is remote with occasional travel for key meetings, site visits and collaboration with the wider business.

You will lead robust estimates from first principles, assess opportunity and risk, and support transition from bid to delivery. Ideal candidates are experienced estimators from civil engineering or infrastructure backgrounds, with on-site experience in civil, water/wastewater, or environmental

Qualifications

• Experienced estimator in civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Ability to build detailed tender estimates from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates in line with tender requirements.
• Build tender submissions from first principles including labour, plant, materials, subcontract packages, preliminaries and risk allowances.
• Identify opportunities, commercial risk and key assumptions throughout the tender process.
• Work with operational teams to agree methodology, programme requirements and delivery principles.
• Maintain tender estimate files, assumption registers and supporting documentation.
