Thorn Baker Construction is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join its busy pre-construction team, handling a varied portfolio of projects across refurbishment, alterations, fit-out, roofing, maintenance, and selected new-build works. You will own tenders from enquiry through to handover in a collaborative environment.

The role focuses on measuring, pricing and cost planning, subcontractor and supplier liaison, and identifying risks and opportunities to maximise value.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and tender management.
• Strong pricing, measurement and procurement skills.
• Knowledge of competitive, negotiated and framework tendering.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with estimating software such as Conquest or Causeway.

Responsabilités

• Review tender documentation and project requirements.
• Carry out measurement, pricing and cost planning activities.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
• Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Prepare tender submissions and adjudication documentation.
• Support negotiated, framework and competitive tender opportunities.
• Manage multiple tenders simultaneously across a diverse project portfolio.
