Talented Senior Estimator

Davis Mills has been instructed to resource an experienced Senior Estimator for an established specialist fit out, drywall & façade sub-contractor involved in drywall, ceilings, plastering, rendering, steel frames and external façade / cladding systems. They are fully committed to new technology through investment in research, development and improving processes for productivity and efficiency. Their goal is to be the first point of contact for any customer on any construction project, from initial design all the way through to project completion. They are keen to recruit a Senior Estimator to be at their head office in Essex, tendering projects up to £5m in value.

The Senior Estimator will be involved in the preparation and tender return of quantified tenders from specifications and drawings or bill of quantities, prequalification's questionnaires and also pre tender meeting, as well as internal handover meetings.

Key Duties:

1. Prepare annotated computerised schedules and Bills of Quantities from clients' specifications and drawings.
2. Prepare and price tenders from either clients or own prepared Bill of Quantities.
3. Prepare and send out material enquiries.
4. Analyze suppliers' quotations.
5. Liaise with clients/suppliers as required during the tender process.
6. Liaise with the site team during the preparation of the handover and distribution of tender documents on secured projects.

Key Attributes:

1. Good understanding of Excel.
2. Experience of tendering for drylining contracts or façade systems and worked in a subcontracting type environment.
3. Capable of preparing BoQ's from specifications and drawings.
