A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Estimator to enhance their Infrastructure team in Leavesden. The successful candidate will manage tender processes, provide mentorship to junior staff, and leverage estimating expertise in working with commercial conditions. Job description

We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Infrastructure team in Leavesden.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the financial element of the tendering process from receipt of documents to submission and understand fully the Infrastructure OWOW.
  • Work with the bid team to arrive at the best net cost for a tender after consideration of commercial, financial, programming, risk, and resources.
  • Assist / manage the tender process.
  • Assist with improvement to the departmental processes and functions
  • Mentor Junior members of the team and line manage where necessary.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Knowledge of commercial conditions (including NEC) and design process
  • Estimating experience to required level
  • Computerised estimating systems and IT skills as appropriate
