Job summary

National Grid Strategic Infrastructure, Warwick, is seeking a Senior Estimator to shape cost estimates for multi-million to multi-billion-pound infrastructure programmes. You’ll influence cost strategy from concept through delivery and provide cost intelligence to design and delivery teams.

In a highly regulated environment, you’ll benchmark contractor submissions, standardise data, and refine estimates as projects evolve, collaborating with Commercial teams and stakeholders nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating large-scale infrastructure projects
• Understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers
• Knowledge of HV electrical (33kV-400kV) advantageous

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from estimators with experience in major infrastructure, engineering or defence environments. You'll bring:

• Experience estimating large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers
• Background in transmission or similar sectors (nice to have)
• Knowledge of HV electrical (33kV-400kV) (advantageous, not essential)
• Strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability
• An analytical, results-driven approach with strong stakeholder skills

If you've worked on complex asset builds or large project costing, we'd love to hear from you - even if your experience is outside electricity transmission.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between 61,000 - 70,000 - dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
