Job title: Senior Estimator

Location: Warrington

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 depending on experience

Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for social housing refurbishment projects and a desire to work with a leading main contractor? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you with our expanding client!

About the Role:

As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in producing competitive tender pricing for refurbishment projects across various market sectors. You will support the delivery of the business strategy by managing tenders valued up to £10m, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the client's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSE&Q) standards and company policies.
  • Manage the coordination and preparation of tender documentation to deliver optimal bid solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Business Development teams to align with company strategies and objectives.
  • Assess contract conditions, quantify risks, and provide viable mitigation solutions.
  • Execute tender plans effectively to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Compile and present statistical data for pricing and bid analysis.
  • Attend meetings to prepare contract mobilization plans and share insights into tender details.
  • Oversee the tender process, including engaging subcontractors for pricing and term negotiations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor.
  • Has a successful track record of securing profitable work in the construction sector, particularly in social housing refurbishment.
  • Possesses advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with excellent data analysis and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrates strong legal and contractual knowledge, with effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Is flexible, logical, and methodical in approach, able to work independently and as part of a team.
