Job summary

Eden Scott in Manchester is seeking an experienced Estimator/Senior Estimator to lead the tender lifecycle for high-quality projects across sectors. You will own bids from enquiry through submission and handover, producing take-offs, pricing and risk assessments, and maintaining a clear pipeline.

You’ll mentor junior estimators, build strong client and contractor relationships, and work with senior stakeholders to shape opportunities and secure profitable wins for a growing business.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating experience in painting & finishing, fit-out or related construction trades.
• Solid understanding of drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment.

Are you an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator ready to take the lead on high-quality tenders and play a key role in a growing business?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative commercial team, taking ownership of the full tender lifecycle while helping to secure profitable, strategically aligned projects.

As a business, they have built a strong reputation across the market, evidenced by repeat work with key clients and a consistent pipeline of secured projects across commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, hotel & leisure and residential sectors. They are now looking to strengthen their pre-construction function as part of their continued growth.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders
• Managing bids from enquiry through to submission and handover
• Producing detailed take-offs, pricing and risk assessments
• Maintaining a clear and organised pipeline of opportunities
• Building strong relationships with contractors and clients
• Supporting project teams with structured handovers
• Mentoring junior estimators and driving best practice

What we’re looking for:

• Strong estimating experience in painting & decorating, internal finishing, fit-out, specialist coatings or a related construction trade
• Solid understanding of drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities
• Ability to manage multiple tenders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with estimating software, CRM systems and Excel
