Aqua Consultants Ltd invites applications for a Senior Estimator based at our Leeds offices. The role supports the Estimating & Cost Intelligence Team in delivering key frameworks and projects. You will liaise daily with clients and contractors to enable effective project management.

Core duties include estimating at multiple levels, CAPEX/OPEX/NPV analysis, benchmarking, cost assurance, and developing cost models while mentoring junior staff. A degree in Construction or Engineering is required.

• Preparation of estimates for CAPEX, OPEX, and NPV comparisons.
• Identification of costing methodologies.
• Undertake cost benchmarking and development of Cost Envelope for projects.
• Provide Cost Assurance on estimates and contractor submissions with findings reports.
• Collect historical project cost data in a standardised approach for analysis.
• Support the development of cost models for future estimates.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits; client facing and confident in meetings.
• Work across multiple projects for clients.
• Ability to work with various estimating systems and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities: The role will be based in Aqua Consultants’ Offices, supporting the Estimating & Cost Intelligence Team in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects.

Job Description Responsibilities: The role will be based in Aqua Consultants’ Offices, supporting the Estimating & Cost Intelligence Team in the delivery of key frameworks and key projects. It will involve liaising with both clients and contractors on a daily basis, to enable effective management of the projects.

Core Duties:

• Estimating at various levels depending on the project stage, high-level using cost models or similar, bottom-up estimating using CESMM or similar.
• Preparation of estimates for optioneering purposes, providing CAPEX OPEX, NPV for options for comparison
• Identification of appropriate costing methodologies.
• Undertake project benchmarking and development of Cost Envelope for a project in the early stages of a project. Preparing Findings Report for issue.
• Provide Cost Assurance exercise on project estimates and contractor submissions. Providing Findings in a Report to be issued to the client.
• Collecting historical project cost data in a standardised approach for analysis
• Supporting the development of cost models for future estimates.
• Attend meetings and undertake site visits where necessary
• Client facing and confident in participation meetings.
• Working across multiple projects for their clients.
• Ability to work with various estimating systems.
• Support the development of junior members of the team.

The Senior Estimator will be expected to be a self-starter in relation to day-to-day tasks expected to manage own workload and upholding the company’s governance and quality assurance process.
