Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Derby is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead costing for industrial building and civil engineering projects across the UK. You will work hands-on from tender through submission, shaping commercial outcomes and ensuring accurate estimates.

You'll apply your detailed knowledge of NEC3, JCT, and ICE contracts, CESMM and Builders' Quantities, while coordinating with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to drive winning bids and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for industrial building projects.
• Experience with small to medium-scale civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge and experience of drainage works.
• Experience with concrete structures.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, including NEC3 Options A and B, JCT, ICE.
• Knowledge of measurement and estimating standards, including CESMM and Builders' Quantities.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
• Confident communicating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a well-established, privately owned Civil Engineering and Building Contractor based in Derby.

This is a great opportunity to join a successful business delivering a diverse range of projects across the Energy, Industrial and Commercial sectors, with work spanning across the UK.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be one of a large team of Estimators. You'll be one of the key Estimators within the business, playing a hands-on role in pricing and securing exciting projects and having a genuine influence on the company's continued growth.

You'll work closely with the wider team from tender through to submission, bringing your commercial expertise, attention to detail and understanding of the construction industry to every opportunity.

What You Will Need

• Experience estimating for industrial building projects
• Experience with small to medium-scale civil engineering projects
• Knowledge and experience of drainage works
• Experience with concrete structures
