Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a Senior Estates Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of capital projects across the council’s estate. You will work within the Asset Management Team and Intelligent Client function to ensure decisions deliver value for residents and service users.

The role emphasises carbon reduction, lifecycle replacement and sustainability, with opportunities to influence high-quality public building outcomes in a large, diverse public sector portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Estates, Facilities Management or built environment settings.
• Proven track record delivering complex property projects from inception to completion.
• Ability to manage scope, cost, programme, quality and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-value capital investment projects across the Council's estate.
• Manage projects, budgets, risks and stakeholder relationships.
• Support compliance, lifecycle replacement and carbon reduction projects.
• Provide leadership to Estates Project Managers and Advisors.
• Collaborate with internal services, consultants and contractors for successful outcomes.
• Contribute to a safe, sustainable and efficient estate supporting services.
