RPS is seeking a Senior Consultant (ESG) to join our Environmental team, responsible for developing effective environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and solutions for clients, while also identifying new opportunities.

Who we're looking for
  • Experience in delivering consulting work across multiple areas, including at least two of the following: climate change and Net Zero Carbon, natural capital, sustainability strategy and engagement, responsible sourcing, supply chain sustainability, social and human rights issues, environmental compliance, producer responsibility, H&S and welfare, governance systems, EHS management, waste/water management, biodiversity.
  • Advising clients on climate action, carbon footprinting, NZC programmes, offsetting, TCFD reporting, SBTi setting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental, social, and governance legislation, policies, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Experience applying environmental liability and sustainability principles across sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and commercial acumen.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and a positive attitude towards professional development.
  • Understanding and belief in RPS’ Purpose, Promise, and Behaviours.
  • Degree in a relevant subject, preferably with postgraduate qualifications. Chartered membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., IEMA, IES) is desirable.
