RPS is seeking a Senior Consultant (ESG) to join our Environmental team, responsible for developing effective environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and solutions for our clients, while also helping develop new opportunities.
Experience in delivering consulting work across multiple areas, including specialization in two or more of the following: climate change and Net Zero Carbon, natural capital, sustainability strategy and engagement, responsible sourcing, supply chain sustainability, social and human rights issues, environmental compliance, producer responsibility, H&S and welfare, governance systems, EHS management, waste/water management, and biodiversity.
Advising clients on climate action, carbon footprinting, NZC programs, offsetting, TCFD reporting, and SBTi setting.
Strong technical knowledge of current and upcoming UK legislation related to ESG regulations, policies, and industry-specific operational regulations.
Knowledge of applying environmental liability and sustainability principles across sectors.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong commercial acumen.
Good project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and contribute actively in meetings.
Professional qualifications: Degree (BSc/BEng) in a relevant subject, preferably with a Master's (MSc) or postgraduate qualification. Chartered membership in relevant bodies such as IEMA or IES is preferred or in progress.
