Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

You will be responsible for managing the People Advice ER team, who offer first line advice to our store Management and team members. Working with key stakeholders across our retail and healthcare business, you’ll provide expert guidance and case management to ensure absence, disciplinary, performance and grievance matters are dealt with in a timely and proactive manner and in line with the values of our business.
You’ll support up skilling the People Advice team to help them be the best they can be. You’ll be a coach to our managers to deliver the best ER case handling ensuring our culture is at the forefront of how we treat people when dealing with the more challenging areas of employment.
You’ll ensure all cases meet high standards ready for any future conciliation or tribunal and you’ll keep up to date with current employment legislation as well as our business performance and trends.

Key Accountabilities:

Leadership of the People Advice Team; managing their day-to-day performance, workload and ongoing development to make sure the advice they give is consistent, timely and in keeping with Company policy and values.
Working with and advising line managers at all levels to resolve employee relations enquiries and issues.
Utilising various helpdesk systems to manage employment relations workload ensuring case management is efficient.
Be the ‘go to’ expert and ensure we consistently embed best practice as well as acting in the Company’s best interests.
Provide regular updates on cases to the Senior People Manager, People Business Partners and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders from other departments.
Contribute to the overall Employee Relations and People strategy for the business, feeding into Senior Management about key cases or policy changes.

Person Specification

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ER professional to join a vibrant company. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in managing ER issues and have a proven track record in developing relationships with senior management and project management and line management skills.

You will have a passion for getting the best outcome possible and a true understanding of the impact of ER on the wider team. You’ll be able to influence great outcomes and challenge senior managers appropriately. You will be looking for a role that will further develop you ER skills but expose you to bigger company wide projects and initiatives.
