Job summary

Korn Ferry Group is seeking an experienced Senior Statistician to support a major public sector environmental research programme in England. You will apply advanced statistical methods to long-term biodiversity datasets across monitoring sites and work with researchers and stakeholders.

The role covers data analysis, research design, and evidence-based recommendations, with remote working and a 6-month initial contract. Strong skills in R or Python and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Ecology, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Experience applying statistics to complex environmental or ecological data.
• Proficient in R, Python or SPSS.
• Strong modelling, inference, and uncertainty quantification.
• Experience with experimental or survey design.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical analysis of long-term ecological datasets to identify trends.
• Assess drivers of biodiversity change under climate and pollution.
• Develop and refine monitoring designs.
• Produce clear statistical reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage analytical deliverables to deadlines.
