Job Description:

RINA is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Engineer with 3-10 years of commercial experience to join its growing Safety & Environmental team. The role involves delivering environmental projects for the Ministry of Defence across various domains including Air, Land, Maritime, and Cyber. The position offers flexible location options within the UK, with a hybrid working model.

The team handles diverse projects on advanced UK Defence programmes such as naval destroyers, submarines, autonomous air systems, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Environmental and Sustainability programmes, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality deliverables.
• Deliver Environmental Impact Assessments and Assurance projects.
• Integrate Environmental activities with Safety Engineering initiatives.
• Support bids, proposals, and report writing.
• Provide performance reports to management.
• Develop new capabilities to meet market demands.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3-10 years' experience in Environmental Impact policies for UK MOD and government projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Sciences, or Sustainability preferred.
• Knowledge of Defence Standards (e.g., Def Stan 00-056, 00-051) is advantageous.
• Understanding of ASEMS or POEMS processes.
• Familiarity with ISO14000 series and MOD procurement processes is desirable.
• Knowledge of UK MOD platforms (land, sea, air) is a plus.
• Must be a British citizen or hold UK Security Clearance.
