We have a great opportunity for you to join our Water Quality and Environment team as a Senior Environmental Officer. The new Senior Environmental Officers roles will be responsible for managing environmental risks across a designated region - Area 4 (Rugby, Stratford & Warwick, Coventry, Birmingham South, Minworth, Warwickshire Network Ops and Central East Network Ops). The role entails ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations, managing the Corrective Action Reporting (CAR) process, and facilitating Environment Agency (EA) audits. The officer will act as the primary point of contact for environmental compliance issues, working closely with operational teams to proactively identify and mitigate risks, and ensuring that sites are consistently 'audit ready'.
Key responsibilities will include:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in of Waste Water Recycling treatment processes or Waste Network Operations. Having the ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions would be required. Proven experience in continuous improvement, with a track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements would be beneficial. They will be able to communicate complex technical and regulatory information to a range of audiences, from operational teams to senior stakeholders. A full UK Driving License is essential.
