What You'll Do
  • Champion a proactive safety culture across all site operations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and industry standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, site audits, and hazard identification programmes.
  • Deliver engaging training and toolbox talks on topics like manual handling, fire safety, PPE, and emergency response.
  • Investigate incidents to root cause, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across the business.
  • Drive environmental management and sustainability initiatives — reducing waste and improving energy efficiency.
  • Produce compliance reports, liaise with regulators, and keep stakeholders informed on EHS performance.
  • Promote engagement through creative safety campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.
About You
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation — essential.
  • Proven experience in EHS within food manufacturing, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and inspire at every level.
  • Analytical and solutions-focused, with a track record of turning data and insights into action.
  • Experienced in leading audits, managing investigations, and driving behavioural safety improvements.
