Job summary

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council is seeking a Senior Environmental Health Officer – Business compliance (Food safety, health and safety) to join our Public Protection and Environmental Health Service. You will lead food safety enforcement and health and safety regulation while preventing infectious disease, contributing to a safer business environment and healthier communities.

The Role

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Practitioner who:

• Is registered as an Environmental Health Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
• Has experience in food safety compliance and enforcement
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can work confidently and independently whilst contributing positively as part of a supportive team
• Demonstrates a practical, solution-focused approach to regulatory work
