Job description

What You Will Need:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably a Master’s) in Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with Marine clients, managing international environmental and social impact assessments against relevant standards
  • Experience with International Finance Institutions / Lenders
  • Relevant project lifecycle experience (due diligence, site selection, closure and rehabilitation plans, environmental and social appraisals for PFS/Pre-FEED and FS/FEED)
  • Extensive report writing and documentation skills (EIA, IFC PS ESIAs, ERP, RFI, etc.)
  • Strong project management experience
  • Proven track record of technical and project delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed

Role: Senior Environmental Consultant

Location: Any UK location near a Worley office

Terms: Permanent, full-time, hybrid work with 1-2 weeks of travel per year

Worley Environment and Society, part of Worley Consulting, provides environmental and social services for clients in mining, energy transition, clean energy (solar, wind, hydrogen), financial, and infrastructure sectors. We are involved in innovative and large-scale projects globally, working across the project lifecycle, including value engineering and optioneering, across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, delivering subsea marine and terrestrial services.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify project opportunities, pursue new business, and deliver environmental services successfully.
  • Manage large environmental management projects across EMEA as part of the Worley Environment and Society Practice based in London.
  • Lead environmental and social due diligence on projects across the EMEA region.
  • Build relationships with environmental leaders and subject matter experts within client organizations to expand business.
  • Collaborate with Worley teams in other regions to win and deliver environmental services.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
  • Plan and manage permitting and advisory services in the UK and Europe, including EPR applications and EIAs.
  • Manage interface between Worley engineering and third-party permitting contractors.
  • Conduct environmental and social due diligence in accordance with GIIP standards.
  • Prepare IFC PS ESIAs and other related documentation.
