Your role

My client is recruiting for a Senior / Principal Environmental Consultant to join their growing team, with the possibility to work from any of their offices (Belfast, Cardiff, Carlisle, Dundee, Edinburgh, Forres, Glasgow, Inverness, Leicester, or Manchester).

Initially, you will work from home, with all necessary IT equipment and software provided. Long-term arrangements will be discussed and tailored to your preferences. They are a flexible employer willing to accommodate your needs.

You will coordinate the delivery of environmental permitting projects across the UK and should have experience in areas such as environmental permit applications and variations, environmental impact assessments using tools like D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, ADMS, and BAT.

Requirements

• Honours or Masters Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, physical sciences, or similar.
• Full driving license.
• Chartership(s) are advantageous.
• Experience with Environmental permit applications and variations under Industrial Emissions Directive (PPC/EPR/IPC).
• Experience liaising and negotiating with regulators like SEPA, EA, NIEA, EPA.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments using appropriate tools.
• Knowledge of best available techniques (BAT) for plant, equipment, and processes.
