Remote / Site based for major energy transition projects in Scotland.

Our client is a specialist consultancy providing environmental services to the construction industry.

We are seeking an Environmental Advisor for a people-focused and innovative consultancy providing excellence to the renewable energy sector and beyond.

CleanTech Talent is acting as an employment agency for our client, one of the most promising specialist consultancies in Scotland, offering profit share in the business and working on significant energy transition projects.

You will receive guidance and technical support, with specific training and mentoring, combined with work ownership on site, along with a generous salary and benefits package.

The Role – Environmental Advisor – Construction
  • Support clients in the post-planning consent and construction phases.
  • Influence design, develop, and review environmental management project documents.
  • Provide site-based environmental management, advisory services, and assurance support.
  • Weekly site visits required.
Key Attributes Required
  • UK driving licence.
  • Onsite construction support experience or knowledge.
  • Ability to work to project deliverables and manage workload.
  • A relevant degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of current environmental legislation, policies, guidance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of environmental and ecological constraints during construction, with appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Experience working with contractors to deliver advice and mitigation on site, ideally within the role of Environmental Clerk of Works.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks such as CAR, SuDS, EIA, flood risk.
  • Good understanding of pollution prevention guidance.
  • Problem-solving and contingency planning skills to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
