Job Description:

At Telent, you will have the opportunity to be part of something bigger—helping to keep the nation's critical networks connected and protected 24/7. Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Senior Environmental Advisor will play a key role in implementing the Telent Sustainability Strategy, supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile, UK-wide travel role (up to 50%).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialist guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Support risk management by establishing environmental assurance and audit programs.
• Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
• Develop and maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports.
• Conduct reviews of environmental aspects and impacts within Business Units, including climate change risks.
• Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.

Who You Are:

Experienced in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
• ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
• Proven experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice.
• Track record of reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex technical projects and change initiatives.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
